Accomplished on Friday...made it home. it is a long drive from San Antonio to Lewisburg. I napped and waited for Pape to let me drive before dark but that didn't happen.
i am thinking...Thanksgivings Day was full of surprises this year. Our family unit is definitely multi-cultural and multi-ethic all bound by love.
i am thankful for...getting home safely before it got too cold for the dogs.
i am remembering...how much fun Thanksgivings day was!
i am going...to work on borders all day.
i am currently reading...blogs
i am hoping...nothing interferes with me getting my quilt done since it is due next Sunday.
i am looking forward to...being in my own home with peace and quiet for as long as that lasts.
Lator,Gators. Have a blessed day.

November 26 Black Friday

Accomplished Thursday...cut ten sets of ten pairs of black & white fabric; visited with DGSs; visited with Lynne's inlaws & ex; ate lunch/supper with Nadene & Sky with lots of folks I didn't know popping in for food; watched Saints try to give game away but Cowboys didn't want it; laugh at Pape going to midnight sale w/Lynne; and slept in 50 degrees under DD#1's quilt(I was snug as bug!)

Thanksgivings was indeed an unique experience filled with sounds, sights, and tastes that were strange to me. Best part was being referred to as mom by Lynne.

I am now a great-grand mother! Felicia & Trey got a large dog to see if they could handle the responsiblity of another life. Truthfully, I think Lynne is enjoying her grand-dog way too much. Felicia is away visiting family but grandma Lynne won't let Trey take Jack home. I wonder what will happen with a baby--thinking spoilt DGC.

We are on the road heading home. Weather forecast was temps below 30 and the furance wasn't working. So Pape cut our visit short!
Well, gators, this phone and I don't do well with blogging so have a safe evening. Lator!!!
Update: Made it home!

November 24

must-do list...(3)complete dresden plates(due by December 5th Progress: ready for borders );(4)complete lotto blocks for KSG(due Dec 9th Progress 1 done)(5) complete Saints Stars(due December 15th Progress: 3/5 done);(6) complete DD#2's graduation quilt (due December 19th-25th Progress: 1/4 done) (8) organize scraps into useable pieces. Time to be on the move. It is an 8 hour trip for us in the camper to Lynne's. I am bringing several projects to work on since I am not a sit and visit person. 2 handwork projects=covered caps for trivets & quilt with lots of binding. 1 big machine project= border for dresden plates.
Basically I love going places but don't like to sit and visit with groups of people in person which is why I dislike parties and holidays too many people at one time. I think that it is my hearing problem that started it. As a child, I was loud b/c I couldn't really hear my own volume. Now I can't follow all the talking and it all sounds like white noise if I am not listening closely. Oh, well, my family knows me and most accept me. Those that don't - well, they have to just deal!
Lator, Gators. Have a blessed holiday. May your turkey be juicy, your dressing perfect and your family joyous!

Accomplished on Monday...made pillowcase with soccer theme; finished two rows of dresden plates; washed and dried 3 loads of clothes; and bowled a 500 series.
outside my window...rain drops
i am thinking...life is strange sometimes because time passes quickly because I am easily distracted and lose focus or because I focus so strongly that nothing else matters.
i am thankful for...all that I have been granted by the Lord and the fact that my DGD#2 has a legal car.
i am remembering... DGS #5 Bday....I made this 18 year old a pillowcase. Corny, I know but it just screamed at me DJ DJ DJ. So I bought and made it. Wow, just remembered that I have 10 DGSs.
i am listening to...rain drops hitting our tin roof. Great sound!
i am going...to San Antonio sometime this week -I think. As of right now we are leaving on Wednesday and coming back on Saturday or Sunday but plans change by the minute.
i am currently reading...blogs
i am hoping... I will finish my quilt on time.
i am looking forward to...seeing how much my DGSs #1 & #5 have changed since I last saw them.

Design wall (NaBloPoMo Nov 22nd)

caps, circles, and soon trivets
Design Wall:
My design wall still has the pieces of the dresden plate on it. My timeline is getting short for that quilt.  On my table, I have the GO and circles I have cut to use to make yo-yos to cover pop tops to make trivets.
accomplished Sunday...watched Saints win; cooked big pot of spaghetti and meat sauce; sewed another row on dresden plate; cut fabric for next two rows; cleaned bed in sewing room off so DGD#1 could sleep there; and cut 1" black and white strips.
I am thinking...my dog can't get much bigger with these puppies because we won't both fit on this chair soon.
I am hoping...to finish the two sides of the dresden and start the borders.
DGD#1 takes over!
I am going...to applaud when DGD#2 gets her car straight so I don't have to worry about her hitching rides to and from work etc.
must-do list...(3)complete dresden plates(due by December 5th Progress: 2/3 done );(4)complete lotto blocks for KSG(due Dec 9th)(5) complete Saints Stars (due December 15th Progress: 3/5 done);(6) complete DD#2's graduation quilt (due December 19th-25th Progress: 1/4 done) (8) organize scraps into useable pieces. Stash Report November 21

Stash Report;
Fabric in: 0 yards
Fabric in YTD: 182.417 yards
Fabric Out this week: 5.5 yards
Fabric Out YTD: 112.63 yards
Stash Reduced/Enhanced: 69.787 yards
So excited! Over 100 yards used! I had a finish and I sent two tops with backs to my quilter (DD#1) who takes batting as payment!. I will not be able to count one top as part of my stash reduction but the other top is all stash as are the backings and bindings. Whoo Hoo!
accomplished Saturday...We got the RV an appointment in middle of December to get generator fixed and went to farm to check grass growth (not much took yet). Found out we had vandals visit the farm and destroy what little they could find there.
i am thinking...No Trespassing signs are in order. DGD#! wants to put up signs stating to BEWARE of Gun-toting Teenager/Owner!
i am remembering...how much fun it is to have a finish and get to crow about it.
i am going...to spend the Thanksgiving holiday somewhere. DH has cancelled plans and then uncancelled and then cancelled and then uncancelled. So right now I am confused as usual.
i am currently reading...blogs and quilt magazines.
i am hoping....to sew today since I didn't go to the bowling alley.
i am looking forward to....spending my Sunday in a bowling alley again (NOT, so sending Pape alone) and watching Saints at 3pm.
one of my favorite things...watching 1st and 4th quarters of Saints game.
my mood...Composed - still hurting but now I am use to the feeling so doing much better.
