Design Wall Week 5 1-24-11

Design Wall
I am still working on:
Red border and then that border ?
Orange Tom Cat
1) Actually on the design wall, Tanya's Graduation Quilt-adapted from"Auld Lang Syne" by Cate Tallman Evans is waiting for a red border and a final border to complete it. Tanya and Sammie chose the border but...not what I wanted. Maybe just a plain black border.
Spirit's Frogs
Saints' Star Season
2)"Frogs for Spirit" is also waiting for binding.
3)"Orange Tom Cat" is waiting to be bound and for a face and ball to be stitched on.

4)"Saints' Star Season" is in the process of being bound.
5)My DD#1 has "Palmetto" and is custom quilting it. Then it will be ready to bound.
Plain and simple, I have lots of hand work to be doing and just don't have the get up and go to do it.

This week will be an interesting week. Tuesday, QGA is hosting Bonnie Hunter and I am her transportation around town. Then Wednesday, there will be a class and I will be transporting Bonnie to BR that evening. Saturday, we have another class with Bonnie and I am taking that one. So hopefully sometime in all this I will sit still and work on binding. LOL
Lator Gator - May fabric find its way into your stash before you need it!

  1. I'm in exactly the same spot...... lots of handwork to do, like binding, and don't want to do it. Why is it that I like hand applique, but dislike hand sewing the back of bindings, when it is exactly the same stitch?

  2. I actually love hand work :) Bindings are one of my favorite parts of a quilt. I know, I am a little weird LOL

  3. Keep a binding in your car while you wait for Bonnie and get a little bit doe eat a time. It'll add up. Have fun in her class - I just had one in Oct/ Nov and loved it!
