Some weeks my report is very boring b/c I was sewing not finishing. I made swap & bee blocks and worked on my grandson's graduation quilt. Sometimes life gets in the way of quilting/finishing projects.
The good news is that DD#1 sent me back Tanya's Graduation Quilt quilted and I got it ready for binding. I will put machine sew binding today and it will be ready for hand binding on my Bowling/Quilting Retreat next week. I have 2 projects ready for her to add to my stack of to-be-quilted projects - a baby 5 patch and my one-wonderful fabric top.
The bad news is that I now have 2 quilts to bind - Donovan's quilt and Tanya's quilt. But when they are finished that is one finish and one happy grandson.
More good news: We are leaving Wednesday for a 10 day trip to Memphis and Tunica and all points in-between. I have a list of projects to sew while Pape bowls in Memphis and plays in Tunica. It will be heaven - 7 days of sewing and traveling.
The bad news(not really) is that DD#1's hubby(SIL#1) entered her in a craft show on April 9th. She has been making all kinds of neat things and many of them need binding which is my department. She quilts for me and I provide batting and binding. So I will be spending lots of time binding projects for her craft show. I really don't mind b/c I feel guilty that I won't be there to help her at the craft show like we planned originally. I am teaching an impromptu class on that day for my sew buddies.
The good news is that most of the projects are small items that I can work on while Pape drives. I am bringing my machine so should have time to work on my own projects too. 7 days is alot of sewing time even with dogs & Pape thrown in! I might even get to meet a swap partner for a shop tour in Memphis!
Well, I am off to tend to life as it happens here!
Lator Gators! May all the fabric you desire appear in your stash as you need it. Keep 2011 STRESS FREE~!
