Piles of binding to do
Design wall even fell down
My mojo/muse has left me cold. I have not been in my sewing room (not even to clean or pick up my mess) except to sew on signature blocks for 2 weeks but the good news is that on Saturday, I sent off 125 signature blocks and 254 half-square triangles with my BFF to be delivered to the bride to have signed by her guest. Then the next step is to wait until the honeymoom is over and pick up the blocks and make the quilt top. I have 3 designs worked out: 1) Just the signature blocks with borders of half-square triangles; 2) the signature blocks surrounding a picture of their wedding invitation; 3) the half-square triangles with some brown blenders as a second quilt to accent a wall hanging of their wedding invitation. Options are important!
Bee and Swap blocks
Saturday, I did go into my sewing room and finish the swap block and bee blocks that are due. Monday I will mail them. I loved working with the teal fabrics especially the dragonflies.
This next week will be busy but I have sewing planned. Monday: Lilly goes to vet for second treatment for heartworms. Camper goes in again to find out why generator batteries die (I have been saying there is a short but no man is listening!) We bowl position round for money. Tuesday: Visit with daughter to deliver potato bags and go to BQ to find fabric to reproduce Saints' Star Season. Pick up camper with problem fixed! (I need the generator to be able to sew and dry camp while DH bowls) Pack camper for trip. Wednesday: Pick up Lilly from vet and drive first leg of trip to Duncanville, Tx. (I don't know how far that will be - it depends on when we get tired!) Thursday: Complete journey and find Red Bird lanes in Duncanville. Friday: DH bowls and hopefully his team places. Saturday: Hopefully, DH bowls while I dry camp and sew in parking lot. Sunday: Start our trip to camp in Tres Rios in Glen Rose, TX unless DH decides to come straight home.  Monday-Thursday: Continue camping. Friday: Arrive home safely. Saturday: Rest!
     Quilting Goals for this week:
Today:  Make 3 potato bags and put binding on Tanya's (DD#2) Graduation Quilt.
Monday: Mail swap packages and potato bag.  Put together next row of DJ's quilt. Trim DD#1's quilt (for my DH) and put binding on it.
Tuesday: Visit DD#1 to deliver 2 potato bags and hopefully pick up quilt.  Go to BQ and get fabric for lighter version of Saints Super Star Season.
          Wednesday - Friday: Sew binding.
Lots of plans but don't know if they will be carried out. Life sometimes gets in the way of my plans!
Lator Gators!  May the fabric you need find its way into your stash. Keep 2011 STRESS FREE!

  3. Nothing in is good if your mojo has taken a short vacation. Good luck with your goals for next week.

  4. Sometimes a break is just the thing you need to get that mojo back. If it lasts too long then just start working 15 minutes a day. Soon you will be back in the swing of things.
