Stash Report Sunday Week 23 June 5, 2011

Sunday and Monday I finished another binding so had a finished quilt to show at QGA. Tuesday after the QGA meeting, I went to BQ, the local quilt shop, and found 4 fat quarters that I really liked. 2 will become potato bags to sell at the KS Quilt Show on July 9th and 2 will become part of the stash. I bought more fabric but most of it went home with my daughter - some for a quilt she is planning with dots and some for a shirt/dress for DGD Spirit.
The QGA speaker, Joe Cunningham, was good. His musical history lesson was funny and his quilts are very artistic. But the pews were hard so the enjoyment was not what it could have been!

Stash Report:
Fabric Added this week:    1 yard ( 4 fat quarters.)
Total Fabric Added in May:    13  yards
Total Fabric Added in June: 0 yard
Fabric Added YTD:      50.56 yards (9 yards a month ugh!)
Fabric Used This Week: 10.5    yards
Total Fabric Used in May: 23.12 yards (two quilts finished in May)
Total Fabric Used in June: 0 yards
Fabric Used YTD: 103.18 yards (that's 17 yards per month used)
Stash Enhancement/ Busted:  52.62 yards (That's almost 9 yards per month busted.)
There shouldn't be any fabric added this next week since BQ meetings with my daughter or BFF are not planned. Oh, wait! I get a fat quarter for my b-day at the KSQG and hopefully I will win the Lotto blocks or a door prize as a b-day present.
While I don't plan on buying any fabric, I do plan on using at least a yard on potato bags and swap blocks. I also plan on starting the quilting on DGS#5's graduation quilt. I am late with this one - it just isn't turning out how I want or I lost interest since I didn't get to see him graduate. But I promised it for his dorm room so it will get done.
Lator Gators! May the fabric you desire find its way into your stash before you need it. Keep 2011 Stress Free!

  1. WOW! Hadn't thought about getting a monthly average from the "in" column - that means I've added an average of 10 yds a month - crazy! Great job keeping your "used" monthly average so high!
