Lorenzo the chug

It is early Sunday morning and Pape and I just got back from the LSU emergency vet center in Baton Rouge. Tonight cost us a month's revenue and is working on the second month. Now I can really say that my vet bills are 5 times higher than my doctor bills even with all the tests we have been having. LOL (Got to find some humor in this situation!)
I came home from the GSQA meeting to find that Lorenzo had been attacked by the dogs from down the block. They have now attacked 3 of my 4 dogs and each time the attack is more vicious than the last. Leeapaul, at 4.5pounds, is the only one they haven't hurt and that would only take one snap.
These dogs come quickly, silently, and before you realize it they are biting and tearing one of my little dogs. Why they come a full block to attack my babies, I don't know! They don't hurt the dogs that live on either side of them...just mine - the only ones that don't weigh as much as the raccoons they are trained to hunt.
Lorenzo has 5 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and 3 puncture wounds. He went into shock and they hadn't been able to stabilize him when we left at 12midnight. The vet doesn't know if he will make the night but I am betting he will. If he doesn't, then I will be going to war on my neighbor and his dogs.
Pape is blaming himself since he let Lorenzo out in the front yard when I have asked him not to let them out unless he was with them. Pape has a bad habit of not listening to me and thinks that our 4legged children will act for him like they do with me. But when I let them outside, I watch them and never let them get out of my sight. Pape just puts them out and expects them to stay in the front yard just like they do in the fenced back yard or he sits outside and expects them to stay in that area. I think he finally understands why I am so paranoid especially since they attacked Lilly in street in front of my house with me watching.
Well, time for a little rest before we drive back to BR to wait.
Lator Gators! May the fabric you desire find its way into your stash before you need it. Keep 2011 STRESS FREE!

  1. OMG, Your poor little baby! I think it's time to call animal control. This cannot continue to happen. Something really bad is going to happen. I hope he heals fast and I hope the owners will be held accountable.
