This week DH came home with 2 air bead pillows which are bigger than travel pillows but smaller than normal pillows so I made 2 pillowcases. I finished binding a quilt for my little sister to use for cuddling grandchildren or just for sitting quietly. It was 'Twisted Sisters' by Ami Simms. Easy to make and pretty as heck! I also finished swap blocks for the January 'Block Swap' and January & February 'Bee Swap". It was a good week.
Now I am working on UFO #5 Orange Tom Cat. He needs eyes, nose, and a mouth not to mention a friend in the corner and a ball of yarn, all the A word which is why he is an UFO! LOL
The good news is that I got a new printer so I can print eyes on fabric and use them with accents via Sharpies, not to mention the labels I need. All quilts should be labeled for lots of reasons.
Well, off to do what I do - working on Swap block for February and Lotto blocks. Avoiding quilting Soccer Beauty and Saint Stars 2.

UFO #5 - Cat Face

Time to tackle UFO #5. My Orange Tom Cat needs a face. Size and Placement questions have kept me from going forward with this project but it is time!

Second Finish

Twisted Sister
...of 2012 for my 'little' sister made by me, her "twisted sister", and quilted by her godchild, DD#1 with a special message. Now she can use it to cuddle with her grandsons or her granddaughter. The back is browns with pink for Sophia and the front is in teals, creams, and browns for the 2 boys.
All I have left to do is create my label which entails me having to buy a new printer. Ugh!!! Mine decided to not print in color even with a new color thingy.
I signed up for a class with Sue Nickels entitled Machine Quilting for Today's Quilts on Monday, February 27. I also signed up for a bargello class in  Krotz Springs but don't remember the date. Busy Busy Busy making more UFOs.
Well, I am off to make swap blocks.

Life is still throwing lemons at me but I am finding more than enough sweetener to make great Lemonade.
We spent the weekend in Lake Charles bowling. I say 'we' b/c DH bowled harder than I did even though he didn't pick up a ball. Saturday, my scores were so poor that I wanted to give up but DH took the opportunity to teach me a sweet new style which helped my scores. Today, I made my average which was sweet, sweet
The oozing is continuing but that is suppose to be good and none are hurting like they did early in the week. Now they are itching! That also is a sign of healing, I hope.
Lator Gators! Squeeze life's lemons and make great Lemonade.
