Grow Your Blog

Welcome to my blog!
My name is Charlene and I am the mother of four beautiful daughters, two stepdaughters, and a stepson. God blessed DH and I with 19 grandchildren and we are expecting our first great granddaughter, MES, at the end of February.

We share our home with Leeapaul and Lillie, two very spoilt Yorkies and a half grown cat called Me-new. Ama, an American Husky, and her wild mixed puppy, Loki, guard our yard.
I taught 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grades for 25 years before retiring. I then started working at our LQS which caused my stash to grow exponentially! On Tuesday, I agreed to go back to teaching but this time third grade. Sometimes we can't avoid God's plan for us no matter how hard we try!
(Blogger won't let me fix this mess! So sorry!)
My blog is generally about my quilting journey
with bits of my life filtered in. I plan on documenting my third grade journey here too.
I love to piece and try to do so every day. I recently moved my studio from the largest bedroom to the smallest bedroom and it is in a state of chaos. I have several vintage machines to handle my Quilter's ADD.
Several of my machines have projects just waiting for me to sit down. Current projects are Disappearing Pinwheel Churn Dash blocks, Fractured Bargello Jacket, strip quilt and

bumper pads for MES. Quilter's ADD at work!
Every now and then I post my
Wondering Thoughts:
Outside our window...sleet mixed with snow.
I am thinking...life goes in circles.
I am thankful for...a warm happy home.
I am missing...my Quest.
I am going...enjoy helping third graders learn.
I am hoping...the weather doesn't cause too many problems.
I am looking forward to...teaching again.
I am listening to... The news.
One of my favorite things...snuggling with DH.
I am currently reading...teaching manuals.
I am wishing...nothing breaks tonight.
I am amazed...at all the fuss about winter.
I wonder...how this next chapter in my life will turn out
Later Gators. I am off to snuggle with my DH. Tomorrow I have to go to work at LQS.
