I bought fabric New Years Eve and got a discount b/c it was my least favorite color pink(but the best shade hot)! Then I started making and completing presents for my grands. Microwave bowls and potato bags as requested with cell phone holders thrown in as a plus.
Now I am free to work on the BHMQ which I really don't like - it is too colorful for me. But that said, I have to remember that while scrap quilts don't appeal to me, they do grow on you. I am sure this one will too!
2015 is going to be a year of finishes for me. Each month I will pick a UFO to finish and a kitted project brought to top stage. This month the UFO is Charlotte Angotti #1 Gone Wrong which needs a binding if DH lets it off the bed. The Kitted Project is BHMQ where I have 4 blocks made. Only 16 more to go.
I also plan on finishing my studio. Right now I am waiting for humidity to decrease so I can paint floors.

  1. Great start to 2015, it's so nice to get the reset each year.

I think a lot of us are in finish project mode. That's my number 1 goal this year.

I'm with you on the BHMQ. Mine's not working for me either, I'm hoping it grows on me as I finish more of the blocks and get the rows sewn together.

  3. You have made a great start! I'm with you on the mystery quilt. But I love the fabrics and the more I see of the quilt tops, the more they are growing on me. We'll see once I get it together.

  4. That is a great start for the year. I like that you included a year end report too. I should have done that.
