Warning: My blog is my venting mechanism and may contain Too Much Information(TMI) about my life. If so STOP READING!

It has been another busy drama filled week. After 20+ years, DH is finally dealing with the estate of his first wife. We divided what we wanted to accomplish into 4 phases. Phase 3 is completed. Phase 1 is waiting for legal papers to be signed and sent back. Phase 2 may take more time since it involves DH and his 3 children agreeing- two of which are 'self-centered drama fanatics.' Once phase 2 is complete or possibly much sooner (depends on co-operation in phase 2), we will start phase 4 which is wills.
Now you know why I  need a heart doctor. He suggested strongly that I  give up all products that come from anything that has a face and become a strict vegan. (I am already very close since I go for weeks with only 1 oz. of that type protein daily - 1% milk for coffee.) Well, he had me until he added avocado, olive oil, sugar, and chocolate (all come from plants)! Needless to say, things will have to get very serious not just a "could be" for me to become a pure vegan. We will see what the tests say!
Guess I need to "put on my big girl panties" and learn how to use my Instant Pot. I am a hands-on learner and have never seen anyone use an Instant Pot. HELP! YouTube videos and Instagram didnt work.
Rather than becoming Vegan immediately, DH and I have decided to try cutting back even more on the amount of animal products, sugar, and soda we consume and increase our veggie, bean, and fruit intake. Just wishing all our doctors would get on the same page!
So I bought a new crock pot (red beans and rice with a side of turkey sauage was the first thing cooked on Saturday) until I  can get to Glenda's for IP cooking lessons.
Subbing starts for real on Monday. It should be an adventure since I  have to learn the new way of teaching Math. It isn't harder just longer. Grids and partial products for multiplication was easy to understand and next comes division! Science and Social Sudies are a mixture of projects and ole school.
The good results are that the extra money will boost my longarm fund and learning will take place. I could continue w/o it affecting my retirement - the law changed again! Don't worry long term subbing ends in January. DH likes to travel in cooler temperature.
Honestly, working with those fourth graders will be less stressful than dealing with the Drama Queen. Hopefully, the completion of Phase 3 will keep her satisfied, busy, and quiet for a while! I doubt it but I can hope for DH's sake, since I won't be home until 4pm each day.
Lator Gators! I have tops to finish and division to learn not to mention Homecoming stuff to buy.

  1. Sorry you are having to go through all that with the family. But once it is over, it will be over. Strength, my friend.

Instant Pot - sometimes you just have to do it. It is really simple. I will be more than happy to walk you through some recipes. Let me know what you want to cook first and I will prepare a tutorial.....LOL
