Muse Took a Wrong Turn Leading to the Right Place

Once again, this week quilting was not on my mind. I worked on altering my DGD#2's prom dress. She is an Amazon type girl with lots of curves, but the top of the dress fell open! So Geema fixed it so her modesty will stay in tack!
I did sew three rounds on her octagon quilt and quilted on Saint Stars 2; prepared 2 1/2" strips for Friday's Bargello workshop; and to join Glenda's zig-zag quilt along (I still need to find a light to use). I plan to take both and the Insanity blocks to Arkansas next week. Those along with the Mystery from Hell should give me enough to do while DH bowls. A 5 day mini-retreat!
The results from Friday's class before the disaster when my makeshift design wall fell off the wall leaving the strips in disarray on the floorLate last night and into the early morning hours, my muse had me working putting it all back together, finding outer border (multi-colored sunflowers), and deciding on an inner border (deep dark brown). I am so glad my muse found her way back infected with the piecing bug. Well, back to the studio to finish piecing the top. My muse may have inspired a finish today and a stash use tomorrow!
                        Lator Gators!

  1. Oh!!!! The Bargello is beautiful!!! The colors are so striking together, i cant see the sunflowers, I have to see them on my regular computer screen to really get a good look. Your design wall fell over??? I wish I could have been there, you know I would have laughed!!!.

    Are you feeling better?

glen: laughing now just picturing that design wall spewing all those strips everywhere!
