I finished 1 top and 3 backs last week and it sure added up. DD#1 now has 4 tops to quilt for me.
I haven't posted in two weeks but a lot has happened in those two weeks. Lorenzo's wounds needed tending to with daily cleaning. DH had multiple doctor appointments. It seems like I have been going nonstop for the last 3 weeks.
My health numbers are not improving although I have been following the DASH food plan and exercising 5 times a week for the last 9 months. In fact most of the important ones got worse. My body seems to be rebelling against all this healthy living. LOL I am now walking 2 miles almost every morning with my little dogs. I am feeling better than before b/c I enjoy being outside more than the gym. I reduced my gym visits from 5 times a week to 2 times mainly because my workout partner stopped coming with me.
Last week my DGS#6 graduated from high school. I am so proud of him since it was doubtful that he would make it 6 years ago. Hopefully, he will get into college and not let life take over. DGS#1 had his shoulder surgery and it went well. DGS#2 got a really good job so he can support himself in college. DGS#3 is still in school trying to learn a trade for his future. DGS#4 is coming back to the states from Afghanistan sometimes this month. DGS#5 managed to finish a semester of college and keep all his scholarships. DGS#7 is doing well in baseball. DGS#8 is making money fixing bikes and selling them. DGS#9 is bringing up his math grades. DGS#10 is going to ace 2nd grade. So things are looking up in the grandson department! I don't worry much about my DGD's since they are all doing well with #2 graduating on the 19th. #3 is the only one I really worry about but she will get it straight soon. #1 has a full time job and is planning on summer school to finish her requirements for a degree. #4 is the top student in her grade. #5 is going to the second grade. #6 & #7 are also doing well in preK. So things are normal in the granddaughter department!
This week DH is taking me to Marksville for a night of relaxing and then on Thursday I have a guild meeting and lunch planned with a friend. Friday is a sew day (I hope!) Saturday we have another graduation. Life fills up fast!
Well, the dogs need walking again.
Lator Gators! Keep making lemonade from life's lemons!
Good reports on all the kidlets. And you, you must be feeling better if you are walking and exercising this much. You go girl!
