Soon I will be having more sewing time as things get back to normal at J&B. I think my boss loves the shorter hours she gets due to recovery time. (She really is still weak and over does.) LOL I know I would! I just don't want my longer hours to become too permanent. Call me crazy but I prefer more piecing time in my studio to the extra money!

The first trial dress for DD#1 was a bit snug -couldn't zip that invisible zipper pass the rib cage- so I get to make it again in eggplant. Yippee another invisible zipper! Oh well, by the time I make the dress for the wedding, invisible zippers will be a breeze! LOL
Today I plan on getting the whirling star to whirl, make May & April blocks, and cut out DD#1's dress. Monday, I need to work on printing collage for a graduation quilt for shop so it can be quilted and bound. We are taking neighbor to lunch for her bday.
Lator Gators! Keep making lemonade!
Great stash reduction this year! Hope you get a bit more time in your studio soon.
ReplyDeleteYour experience with the dress is one of the reasons I quit making garments. When Carrie was little it didn't matter if the fit was not perfect. And I never could fit myself.
ReplyDeleteQuilting is just so much more fitting!!
Your schedule sounds very busy. I admire you for sewing garments for others. That was always a stressful job trying to get something to fit even ME, much less someone else.
ReplyDeleteGood stash numbers too.
thanks mom
