I had three days off this week and spent it doing lesson plans, making 3 pinwheel churn dash blocks, and 12 of my favorite scrap block. These activities do not lend themselves to stash reduction at this time. Later the Churn Dash blocks will become a charity quilt and the scrappy blocks will be pieced into a top. My plan is to have one done for each of my grandchildren when I pass. I have 19 grandchildren and only 2 tops made so I can't leave for a while!

Since my DGD, Sammie, and my DD#2, Tanya, requested "receiving blankets like you made me" and Spring is on its way, I picked up 1 1/2 yards of polished cotton and 1 1/2 yards of sear sucker to make a reversible receiving blanket.
Most of my purchases have been "PINK", but until Saturday, I had managed to stay away from soft pink! I surely hope that Sammie's soft pink urges quit when MES is born. LOL!
Lator Gators! I am off to make receiving blankets and do lesson plans. Keep making lemonade from life's lemons.
Sounds like some good productivity, and way too many lesson plans. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is the third try at posting. I amm a klutz tonight! Sometimes it is hard to find time off to work on quilting!
