Leeapaul Update

We got to bring Leeapaul home today but with 3 pages of instructions. Besides times to give meds, the most important one was that he be put on complete bed/crate rest for the next 6 weeks. Since Leeapaul has never been in a crate except for this stay in the hospital, that is the one restriction he doesn't like. He's pouting right now!
Lorenzo is recovering nicely. He is finally eating again. We have only 2 problems right now. First, he is frighten of all big dogs including Ama making her very unhappy since they were play pals. 2ndly, he has become a momma's boy and wants to be right next to me or on my lap all the time. Hard to sew!

DH's gouty foot is not swollen or as painful. The uric acid crystals in his joints just have to dissolve completely. Just like my other two 'boys' he's not obeying dr's orders. He is off to the casino to see if he can recoup some of the vet bills. I don't think that will happen, but off he went to 'his place of business.'

angel or devil
The only one of  my 'boys' that is doing what is asked of him is my DGS Chris. He has come to visit two days in a row. Today he ate sausage, drank coke, watched Indiana Jones, and sorted scraps for pieces big enough to make 3 1/2" tumblers. He promised to come back tomorrow to  cut tumblers. I wonder what he wants!
only 11 more

I am off to sew strips and/or make lotto blocks. Currently working on July's Swap Block but have finished Jadie's Bee block and Blondie's Swap Block. Now I just need to work on the KSG lotto blocks and the August Bee block and finish July's block. All this with Lorenzo in my lap!
Oh, and go pick up DGD#2 so she can spend the night tonight. I am wondering when DGS#1 will contact me about his 'MaCe & Pape Book Scholarship' since he was complaining about the cost of books! I have a special fund for books to help my 3 grandchildren in college.
God has truly blessed me with wealth beyond belief. I have limited money but lots of love which is what really counts! I have a wonderful life!

UFO Progress

Lorenzo recovering
Life is beginning to return to normal. Lorenzo is doing exceptionally well and even gaining a bit of weight. DH's gout is easing up. Air conditioner man is coming sometimes today. (Our bedroom and computer room are cool with extra air conditioner. I am very glad that DH didn't put it in DGD#1's room like I had asked.)

Leeapaul is in B R at the LSU Vet School being looked after by Lorenzo's doctors.
Leeapaul at his finest
July's UFO
I have been falling behind with Judy L's UFO challenge. I am still trying to complete the last 5 months of UFO's. Things have just been so jumbled that sewing time is infrequent and when I do have it, I am working on current projects or lotto blocks or swap blocks. The hurriered I go - the behinder I get.

Lorenzo the Chug - Update 3

To look at Lorenzo you wouldn't know that he had been hurt except that he has a scar on his chest. He is back to being his lovable self except that he is scared of all big dogs including Ama.
Pape (DH) foot is almost back to normal thanks to some home remedy that Glen sent. He still is in a bit of pain but the swelling is down by 3/4ths.
But the gremlins weren't finished with us. Leeapaul snuck away and tried to herd the cows as usual. Only problem is that one of the cows was a horse. The cows would ignore Lee (after all what could 6 lbs of hair do to a 2000 lb animal!) but the horse chased and caught Lee. So back to the LSU vet clinic we go. This time with a badly broken leg. Leeapaul will be staying with them for a while.
Let this be a lesson to all the 2 legged and 4 legged children out there...don't go sneaking off where mom and dad say not to go. You may get hurt!
Lator Gators! I am off to exercise my troubles away.
