Second Finish ALMOST DONE!

I guess being confined to bed or the sofa is productive. I have been working on my Twisted Sister quilt that I am giving to my sweet sister who thinks I am the twisted one...I think she is! No, just joking. I will show pictures as soon as it is finished and labeled.
She is ill but keeps on working to help her 3 adult children and to me all but 1 should be paying their own way.
Still hurting and now I am oozing which is not pleasant. Tonight is one of my guild meeting and I will be there. It is DD#1's first meeting as Program Chair.

More Lemons

...so I am trying to squeeze them and make a lemon pie with a side of lemonade. After all the hidden stress in December & January, my body decided to attack me with so much pain that I took myself to the doctor which immediately shocked him and my family. Protesting all the way, I go to his office twice a year for blood work.

He gave me meds and told me to get lots of bed rest and drink lots of water. Not easy to rest in bed if you are always jumping up to go to bathroom. LMAO and PPMAO
So in-between fever bouts and damp hot compresses, I am trying to machine sew binding to my sister's quilt. Then later I will be able to follow doctor's orders somewhat by sitting on couch and sew the binding.
Only problem is my darling husband can't cook so I am trying to find food that is easy to fix. He tried to feed me chicken broth from a can undiluted. After 15 years you would think that he knew that I don't touch chicken broth or soup. Now he's trying to make vegetable beef soup which will be interesting since he didn't check to see  if we had vegetables. Poor man he is trying! At 3pm, I finally hobbled to the kitchen and opened a can of carrots.
DD#1 is now program chair for our guild. She has convinced me to do 2 short programs this year on labels starting from making own printable fabric to using Word to make the label with pictures of the quilt. What I wanted to do was a catheral window demo-a bit harder to prepare for but fun.

Even with all the health problems going on in the house this past week, I actually got some sewing done and made a fantastic iPad/Purse. I love it. DD#1 made me an iPad carrier for Christmas that I adore. Carrying two bags to doctor visits  just isn't my style so I made a mini messenger bag to hold iPad and everything else I carry. My Christmas present still holds my iPad most of the time since I don't bring it everywhere. This way I can slip it into my "purse" as needed and everything fits!
w/o quilting
DD#1 finished quilting Twisted Sister for me and I am putting on the binding today so that it will be finished by Thursday to show at our guild meeting. (Big Use next week!) DD#1 put in a secret message but can't spell freind friend which is ok b/c my sister knows I can't even spell teh the
While at DD#1, she informed me that she wasn't going to bring me my Phaff quilting system until after she has her Bailey completely set up in her new studio. It is going to take at least a month or so before she gets the building, electricity, and inside like she wants. During that time, DD#1 wants to quilt tops so I am not fussing about that although I was looking forward to using the machine now that she has all the bugs worked out. Actually it is a good thing since I haven't cleared its home spot yet.
  Well, time to get busy.
