Saturday I took a class with Jodi Barrows learning how to use her Square in a Square ruler. I actually finished a block! I really enjoyed this class and bought 2 books for future quilts.
I am part of the "Let's Bee Together" group. My month is September and I really like the "Garden Maze" block in two sash colors from Quilter's Cache (Marcia Hohn). I see all kinds of color possibilities.
Right now I am sewing together the Lotto blocks I won at KSG. My DH and DGD#1 have already claimed this quilt. By the time DD#1 quilts it, they will have moved on to another.
The two things I have not worked on much are 1)DJ's Graduation Quilt and 2) June's UFO. I know I have to do DJ's quilt but the UFO will just stay a UFO until later.
Lator, Gators! May the fabric you desire appear in your stash before you need it. Keep 2011 STRESS FREE!
Oh man --- am I jealous! They cancelled our Jodi class! I love your block, was it easy??

ReplyDeleteI was signed up for a class with Jodi a few years ago "feathered star" but had to cancel out. Doesn't she have yet another ruler kinda new on the market? I love her booth at quilt shows. Read any of her books? Sandi
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks and quilt! You have lots of lovely stitching in your future.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects. The class sounds like it was fun.

ReplyDeleteMy mom has that book and ruler, what do you think about it so far? I am considering "borrowing" it the next time I go home to CA for a visit :) I came over to follow you from Block Swap Adventures
