cheddar
Thursday, I spent the day with Sharon, Alice, Pam, and Dottie at Sharon's house. I worked on cutting the pieces for the Krewe of Quilters workshop. Alice and Sharon worked on my serger until they know how to use it. They hemmed Dottie's pants and it looked good.
Glen and I
Thinking about making a purse
I spent the weekend at a quilting retreat with the Sassy Strippers and Glenda. It was a blast. On Saturday, we went to Fabric Crazy to look for fabrics for Glen's leaves and some cheddar to make of Bonnie Hunter's bow ties. Found cheddar that I like and these cats just begged to come to my house. I also bought the 3 1/2" tumblers and drunkards path dies.
These ladies are fantastic quilters who are willing to share their skills with absolute strangers. They cook like dreams. I made a bowl of Dottie's Fluff which is low fat and somewhat low calorie.  The variety of projects that were being worked on was amazing. They did tutorials for wonky curved piecing and strip piecing. I would love to join their guild.
CA  2009 mystery
CA Mystery QGA 2011
I worked on the lotto blocks that I won from Krotz Springs Guild, then I worked on my first Charlotta Angotti mystery 2009, and finally on my second CA mystery. I think that I will have to deconstruct the first one since it is way too long for its width which is what happens at 3am. I still have pieces left over. I think they go in the border but I lost the picture. It needs to be wider rather than long. The second quilt will be smaller but will be perfect for the camper bed.
Well, all of that will have to wait for another day and possibly another retreat. I have to work on lotto blocks and special projects for my guilds.
Lator, Gators. My DH needs and wants my company. May the fabric you need appear in your stash before you need it. Keep 2011 STRESS FREE!
