I spent Thursday afternoon and Friday morning with Glenda in BR and had a blast. We talked and explored and went to supper with Ann and other friends. Then we went to the River City Quilt Guild meeting (which I joined) and after the meeting I stayed at Glenda's. We talked until the wee hours.

Friday morning, I put in the zipper and sides of my Halloween duffle bag while Glenda finished the binding on one quilt and put the borders on the elephant quilt. What a great combination of fabric lines and colors.  I want to be just like her when I grow up!
Driving home was not fun! It poured down rain most of the 60 mile journey and I hate driving in the rain. Oh, well, I made it home safe and sound. DH and our 4 legged children were sitting on the screen porch enjoying the afternoon.
Saturday was DATE DAY with movies and a late lunch. We saw Madea's Witness Protection. DH laughed so hard his chest hurt. We stopped by JoAnn's to pick up some fusible batting and interfacing for duffles. I also picked up some quilted fabric to make a duffle, some purple; and some red baseballs. I just couldn't resist the temptation at 50% off of the Ott light either. All my fabric was on sale or end of bolt and I got a 20% discount off total purchase for being the wife of a retired air force member. Now tell me who could resist that! Later that night, we went to watch the races in our favorite spot...the sofa in the Zydeco Bar at the casino. Semi-private with lots to see. Two gentlemen commented on my "blanket" asking if I was cold.

Now who would like this one!
This morning, I went into the sewing studio and cut and cut and cut. I made kits for duffle bags - 2 large at 4 yards each; 1 small at 2.08 yards; and 1 out of quilted fabric at 1.875 yards. These will be completed by Friday for sale at the Krotz Springs Quilt Show. If they don't sell, I know exactly who will like each one for Christmas!
Lator Gators! I am off to get ready to travel to DD#1's home to work on projects for the Quilt Show. Remember it is Mind Over Matter - If you don't mind, then it don't matter!
