After the QGA guild meeting on Thursday, we drove to New Orleans picking up gifts at Evangeline Downs and boudin w/cracklins in Krotz Springs. We spent the night in the Harrah's Hotel and then on Saturday moved to the W hotel for 2 nights. Friday around noon, DH and I ventured to Mes Ami to look for fat quarters for lotto blocks I have to do in October. Needless to say, some Halloween fabric jumped into the pile as did a lime green piece for a total of 12 fq's. I should have enough to make the 7 blocks due. LOL
DH & his daughter Lynn
DSD and 5 friends came for a weekend trip to NO and invited us to join them for lunch and a shopping trip (DH opted out of the shopping) Saturday. We had a great time and I ended up minus a purse at the end of the visit. Also 2 more purses for her friends-one that must be red - are expected. Somehow we also promised to go to San Antonio for Thanksgivings week. I am a bit unsure how all this transpired!LOL It must be we were so happy seeing her after 3 years of no visits.   We got back to the hotel in time to enjoy the LSU game which was not a great game.
Well, while we were gone, someone came into the house and unlocked windows and doors. The Sheriff deputy for our area checked the property on Friday so this had to happen Saturday or Sunday.  Nothing was missing and the dogs were where they were suppose to be. We will talk to DD#6, DS, & DGD#1 about visits this weekend. No harm no foul! Next time we leave things will be double locked.
Lator Gators! Remember if you don't mind, then it don't matter!

  2. Hope your visitors were "friendly" ones. When things are moved around or unlocked here, I know its my MIL, she lives next door, so it's ok. I lost my keys Sunday, turns out they were at church and Al picked them up tonight, so I don't have to replace any of them! That was lucky. Pape looks like he's feeling good, so that's great! take care and be happy:)
