Glenda and Ann came to Lafayette on Wednesday and we went to BQ which is closing. I found 1 1/2 yards of black on white and 2 fat quarters of hot pink. They both bought a whole lot more. I also agreed to make a memory quilt from Ann's mom's T-shirts.
I am also working on BHMQ using my 1950 Premier. It is a wonderful piecing machine. I moved it into the living room since the den/sewing room is a refrigerator. Heck, it is colder in there than in my studio outside.
Speaking of my studio, DD#4 and I painted one section of the floor black with speckles. I love it except the tape was too big so all the stains show thru. So I am having to paint them. Not fun! So we decided that for the bigger section, we will paint the whole floor white then put tape and paint black.
DD#4 also painted the wood area bright yellow and kilted the peg board white. These will both be painted a lemon yellow to brighten up the room.
Well, I am off to put another row together for my BHMQ. Lator!

  1. Yes, you made me do it! I bought 28 yards thanks to BQ's sale!

You need to take a photo of that floor!

  2. Yes, I want to see what fun painting you did on your floor. You were so good to only bring home small yardage numbers.

  3. You are off to a great start on stash busting for 2015. Looking forward to seeing the studio redo.

  4. Your sewing space sounds like it is going to be the perfect place for creating. Congrats on limiting yourself to just a few pieces which can be most difficult when a sale is happening.
