We made it to Houston Friday night even with storms and flooding all around us not to mention crazy drivers.
Saturday morning we went to the festival later than we wanted due to bad weather but we made it safely. We spent the day wandering up and down the vendor aisles looking at all the quilts and wares they displayed.
I found the Glide thread and Oval rulers for Dee. Next on the list Aurofil thread where I bought 5 spools of various colors including 2 greys and a yellow. Then I found my favorite seam rippers so 2 of those were added.  That completed my list but more loot was added!
Then the crazy quilt templates were spotted so they with books joined our loot. Spirit fell in love with things made with a computer program and DD#4 fell in love with the companion embroidery software so those joined bag of loot.
DD#4 bought 10 flannel fat quarters for $10 and 2 panels with backings for $10. She also picked up some grey fabric for a baby quilt. 6" Kai scissor joined her loot too. Not to mention a cat based quilt pack.
Spirit got a Tangles sketch book and little coin purse and a kit for a zipper bag.
The one item I did not purchase but wanted badly was the Bug Diaper Bag  from Sweet Pea. The patterns have to be ordered online so that is next on my list!
Now it is time to go home! Lator Gators!

  3. Lucky you to go to Houston Quilt Festival. Maybe one of these days I'll make the trek. It seems you were quite contained on what you got if you ask me. It's fun to see all the new things available.
