Design Wall

Harvey has caused schools to close today so I have time to sew. We are on a day by day school open-closed schedule. This gives me more time to catch-up and get ahead in all areas.
My family is not in any danger except not being able to leave home due to flooded roads. It has been raining steadily for 2 days and is expected to rain until Thursday or beyond.  Low lying areas have reached the flood stage and the water keeps coming. .
The Cajun Navy, volunteers with flat bottom boats who pay their own way, has deployed to all parts West and coastal Louisiana. Some of these people will come back to devastation but are helping others first. This volunteer movement started during Katrina where they did more than the government and have gotten more organized and larger every disaster since.
Plans for this week:
TMG 1)  T-shirt quilt for "Save the Ta-Tas" Raffle - Finish middle row and begin putting on borders. DD#2 is still getting t-shirt perfect!
TMG 2) Studio  -  Move cutting table into Studio when DGS#9 gets back from DD#3's
3)   BH 2016 Leader/Ender project: - Sew rows together.
4) Blue Binding Star Wedding quilt blocks - Cut more parts. Sew 1 block.
5) Bindings - Put special hanging sleeves on Dee's wall hanging  and put binding on Muddy Leaves.
Last Weeks Progress:
TMG 1)  T-shirt quilt for "Save the Ta-Tas" Raffle - Nothing done...still waiting on DD#2 for tshirt.
TMG 2) Studio  - Nothing done. .
3)   BH 2016 Leader/Ender project: - Ripping finished and waiting turn at machine.
4) Blue Binding Star Wedding quilt blocks - Nothing done.
Waiting to be completed
Muddy Leaves
5) Bindings - Need to rip since i forgot special hanging sleeves on Dee's wall hanging  and Muddy Leaves has bindings cut and waiting.
Well, as they say you can dream and plan all week, but at some time you have to start executing. Hopefully, I will be able to do just that!

  1. We were saved by the Cajun Navy in the August 2016 Flood in Baton Rouge. Three Bassets, frank and I all piled into this guy's duck boat. We got transferred to a larger flat boat and then moved to another place where we were trucked out. It was quite a trip for the basset low riders!
