First, came the biospy and diagnosis by the surgeon. Then, finding a specialist to complete the diagnosis with hospital visit. Next came first set of treatments - 35 radiation treatments and 4 Chemo. The radiation tore my bottom up! It also took all my energy and caused bowel problems which still plague me.
Cancer was reduced, but not completely gone so stronger Chemo was started with a port installed. The first 2 doses put me in the hospital for a week each time. So the dose was reduced and did great except my platelets went wacky. When your platelet count is wacky, no Chemo! You also have no energy and are tired all the time. So off to the Oncologist once a week for blood work hoping platelet count is normal. Hopefully, this week will be the week! Cancer cells can't shrink or die w/o the treatments.
That is where we are now! Like I said, it has been a roller coaster ride.
