BH's Good Fortune v. 3

Please excuse any typos. LeiLei has decided that I should be resting not typing so she has stationed herself in my lap with her butt on the tablet! Silly puppy!
Summary:  1) 4 patch strip sets sewn and cutting begun.
                     2) 2 square sets for 1/2 square prepped.
                     3) Radiologist released me - no more radiation.
November 30th was my husband's second birthday. Yes, he is so special that he has two. All his life his birthday was the 29th and then when he applied for SS the 30th was on his birth certificate. Therefore we celebrate both days! This year was very low key, but that is life right now. Flu/cold season is not a time for us to mix with crowds. So we stay home more than not - easier to spray Lysol and use hand sanitizer!
November ended and December began with low energy days due to pain in my lower regions. (TMI) - another reason our celebrations were low key. The pain takes away my get-up-and-go while the pain meds make me sleep - a dead to the world sleep. It is a catch 22! Either way I am useless, but at least w/o the meds, I can be available for family time and fabric finding fun.
Quilt/fabric police be warned, I'm mixing designers, styles, patterns, and decades of fabric. Most of my largest blue batik scraps from DGS#1's quilt, scraps from DGD#4's uncompleted graduation quilt, and any scrap big enough for size needed will be included!  After all, it is a scrap quilt using what is available in the stash which means any scrap a family member can easily locate in my mess.
Finally, managed to put needle back correctly in Premier and got it threaded. All that was needed was strong light! Fixed seam guide and off I went - until pain stopped me! Glenda's wonderful gift of 4 patches arrived - 88 of them. Since I am still having difficulty, I decided to make more than the original 24 planned. Instead I am working on 32 which added to Glenda's gift will give me half the required amount. As Glenda says - a good start!
Bonnie Hunter released clue 2 for "Good Fortune" on the 30th - 2 1/2" unfinished half square triangles in  bright blue mixed with dark blue and neutral. My goal is half same as clue 1 which is still quite a few! The Magic 8 method using two 6" squares is the quickest, easiest, and safest way to proceed. This clue should be easier than first since 1 or  more squares can be sewn at a 15 minute sitting. Then while resting, I can cut them apart yielding 8 per square!
First 2 square sets are marked waiting to be sewn.
I have the two rulers that Bonnie recommends, but right now they are hidden somewhere in my mess. DD#4 was kind enough to get my Accucut and 6" square die from the Studio. She set them up in the den.  Using this and cutting fabrics right sides together will make this even quicker.
Well, LeiLei has decided that typing/posting is not restng and has climbed into my lap placing her butt on the tablet. Silly puppy!
My Radiologist, Dr. K, released me on 12/3. Hopefully, more good news tomorrow from Dr. Cole/Sager.
