Do you see the design goof? |
Friday, I worked on binding Log Cabin Squares. I also went to Hobby Lobby and found the cutest bears and blue flannel for a baby quilt. Then I went to Glenda's home and spent the night with her and Frank, Cloey, and DiNozzo. We went out to supper with Ann and Press. It was very entertaining to see how the 4 of them react to each other. I had a blast. Then we went back to Glenda's home and I took a long hot bath. ( During the retreat, it was all cold showers since when I got to them there was no HOT water.) That bed felt like heaven after the bunk!
Saturday, we had breakfast with coffee at a cute place and then headed to the farmer's market. I bought fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, cantaloupe, and a sweet tator pie for DH.
Today, DD#2 is planning on visiting so we can work on a organization plan for her classroom. I also plan on finishing my bee block for July...I left the directions home and couldn't bring them up on my phone.
Lator Gators! Well, like my DH always says - It is Mind over Matter - If you don't Mind, then it don't Matter!
Sounds like you had a wonderful retreat Charlene - and got lots done! I'm headed home on Friday but wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed meeting you and attending your guild meeting. I'll be back in February but we're not coming in the summer any more. I need to get my husband out of this heat and humidity and if we're here he insists on working out in it all day, every day. Can we say stubborn? :( blessings, marlene
