It is back to sewing w/o finishes! QuilterMary at Keep Me In Quilts says there are levels of Doneness/Finishness:
Level 1: top and back.
Level 2: quilted.
Level 3: binding on and stitched down.
I really like this idea b/c it gives me a sense of accomplishment while waiting for the quilting. (No, I am not complaining or finding fault with DD#1 b/c she spends lots of her spare time quilting my quilts while leaving her own tops unquilted.) I guess it is time I put on my grandma panties and learn how to quilt my own tops! Maybe DH and I will see a quilting machine in Paducah that we can afford when we go in the middle of April.

Guess I had better get busy! Great thing about the 3 patterns (Geema's 18, Scrap Tease aka Reva block, & Woven Star) is that they can all be used as leader and enders as I sew other things.
Lator Gators! Have a great Easter Sunday.
Getting a quilt to a finished flimsy is definitely a major milestone in getting a quilt to the finished stage. Sometimes we just have no control over the quilting part of things. Good luck getting more quilts to whatever finished stage you can do on your own.
ReplyDeleteLet's here it for reducing the Stash a bit! Sometimes there's so much sewing , yet nothing to count "out". You have lots to work on!
ReplyDeleteHey, Charlene, what day ya goin' up/down to Paducah? I'm thinking about making it for a day and want to coordinate with as many friends as I can.
