Still hoping the red wedding quilt will be quilted soon and I will be in the black by year's end.
Health   I have now seen all 4 of my doctors and have a plan for the second step of this cancer journey. First, home health visits for wound care since new chemo will reactivate radiation site. Also physical therapy evaluation to see where I am there. Doctor Sager is being proactive rather than reactive! Next, a port will be put in and then strong chemo every 3 weeks with weekly blood tests.   Then possibly surgery to remove what is left.
My normal is going to change again! Hope I can adjust to all the changes happening in life right now. Please say a small prayer that things settle well.

My daily companions (2 mixed sisters - 1 taking after larger mom and the second taking after small dad) eat, potty, play/fight, nap, repeat. Me-New hides from them. We are babysitting the brown one and the black/white will be ours.

My projects are all long term projects using scraps and strings.
1. Gift/Charity Project - Fabric Wallets for DD#4 and DGS#8. Four 6" squares per wallet with leftover string-4 done with 2 more waiting
2) New Project (SQUIRREL)  - Piccadilly Circus by Kelli Hanken and Jo Kramer. One 12" red, white and blue block made. Working on September block - leaves with olive greens and browns.
4) Stalled Project(s)  - Boxes of Strings by The Electric Abuela: 16 blocks made. On hold until more papers and black triangles are cut. Loosey Goosey 3" blocks: 2 blocks made! Need to print paper piecing units.
6) Stash Management/Organization
  • Limit purchases -Use Fabric Stash FIRST for all projects.
Lator Gators. I am off to wake up my muse

  1. Glad to hear you have a plan, but am sorry you have to have one even. I like that star block. The quilt will look fabulous!
