Music and coffee help soothe my soul and seemed just perfect for my cajun themed pillow. Lots of stars here in Acadian but alas the last standing snow was in 2004 but it is nice to make believe we will have a white Christmas.
I started the pillow before Thanksgivings but it sat on my ironing table until last night. You see, I started helping out at a local fabric shop and it has been taking away lots of my quilting time. But the up side is I get to pet the fabric all day! I have a second pillow cut out in true Christmas fabric to give as a gift but it will have to wait until time becomes less hectic.
Here is a tour of my Cajun Christmas Village.
The first house has a Christmas tree set up in the window. The second has an evergreen tree complete with pine cone decorations and a golden star. The third house is a coffee shop while house four has a party going on with lots of Zydeco music.House five is empty right now since the family is next door at the party. House six is home to a red bird. House seven's door is decorated for the season and there is a cutie peeping in the attic window.
Lator Gators! May your Christmas season be filled with all the things and people who soothe your soul. Remember the Reason for the Season.

ReplyDeleteI love your blue pillow. I am a bit jealous.....working in the quilt shop???? My dead had a similar deal with his birthday. His momma delivered
ReplyDeleteHim just before midnight on st Patrick's day. But by the time the doctor cleaned up and got the paperwork, it was the next day.
His mother was so catholic she was insistent he was born on the 17 th asso that is when we celebrated it
Tell the handsome guy I hope he had a wonderful day, and the same for the "next" one too!
